If your AssetTrack Server is hosted on a server that does not host UAPM, you must install some UAPM components onto the AssetTrack Server to allow AssetTrack to communicate with UAPM.

- From the UAPM installation DVD image run LAUNCHPE.EXE and select "Install Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management" (NOT Optional Components).
- You will be prompted for a series of prerequisites. Answer YES to each:
- Install .NET 1.1 Framework
- .NET 1.1 SP1 Framework
- .NET 1.1 SP1 Hotfix KB886903
- Windows Scripting Host for Windows 2000+XP is installed (you may not be asked if installing on Windows Server 2003 or later)
- Windows Installer 3.1v2
- .NET Framework 2.0
- J# Redistributable 2.0
- When prompted, select the Custom setup option.
- Select the following components for installation:
- Configurator (this is selected and cannot be deselected)
- Cache Service (this is also selected and cannot be deselected)
- Management Console
- Management Tools
- Barcode
- You will be asked for the name of the server hosting SQL Server and your uapmadmin SQL Server password.
- Do not run DB Utility when prompted.
