Installing the AssetTrack 4 Web Client
Before you can install the AssetTrack 4 WebClient, you need to have done the following:
- Created the AssetTrack database. See Installing the AssetTrack database for more information.
- Verified your server meets the minimum requirements for the AssetTrack API. Requirements are covered under Application, API, and database server requirements.
- Installed the AssetTrack 4 WebApi. See Installing WebApi for more information.

*Note: The INSTALLDIR will need " " if there is spaces in the file pathway, like in the example above.
To install AssetTrack 4 WebClient
Your AMI sales representative should have sent you an email containing a link to the AssetTrack 4 WebClient Installer, which is an Microsoft Installer file named AssetTrackWebClient_x.x.x.msi. Please submit a request through the AMI Support Help Desk if you did not receive it.
Installer must be run on the IIS machine
Note that AssetTrack 4 WebClient cannot be installed from a remote machine. The installer must be run on the IIS machine. Also the logged in user must have adequate permissions that will allow them to install software on the machine.
- Open a command line as Administrator.
- Navigate to the location of the AssetTrackWebClient_x.x.x.msi
Run the msi from the command line.

- Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Management console
- Under Sites > Default Web Site, verify the WebClient folder exists
- Open a command line as Administrator.
