Preparing your IIS Server

There is some pre-configuration on your web server that you'll need to do prior to installing AssetTrack.

AssetTrack is an ASP.NET web application that runs on Microsoft Windows Server using IIS, so you'll need to make sure IIS and the .NET Framework are installed and configured correctly.

IIS performs the web server role for the AssetTrack web interface and the .NET Framework contains a library of software routines that support AssetTrack. This optional step covers how to to install an Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate on the AssetTrack Server so that communications between the AssetTrack server and your mobile devices are encrypted.
