Adding Handlers to a Form

Handlers attached to a form indicate what systems are update when records collected with a form are published. For example, select the AssetTrack Handler to update the internal AssetTrack database, or select the UAPM Handler to update CA Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management. Other Task Handlers may be available on your server, and you can add more than one Task Handler to a form.

Note Note
You must add at least one Task Handler to every form. You will not be allowed to add any fields to your form until you have added at least one Task Handler.

To add a Task Handler to your form:

  1. Select the Publishing tab within the Form Designer.

  2. Click the Add button below the list of Registered Handlers.



  3. The Add Task Handler dialog appears. Select the desired Task Handler and then press the Add button. If you are using AssetTrack as a standalone system, select the AssetTrack Handler.



  4. The handler is added the Registered Handlers list and the Field List is updated to enable the fields the selected handlers are able to "handle." 

To remove a Handler, select it and press the Remove button.
