Authorize users
Assign the role x_amiam_ami_model.model_cleaner to authorize a user to use AssetTrack Model Cleanup.
Users with this role will have access to the AssetTrack Model Cleaner app. They will also receive email notifications when Model Cleanup jobs are completed or reverted.
Updating Asset model categories
AssetTrack Model Cleanup allows users to migrate to models in different categories. When doing so, all Assets that reference the original model must be updated with the new Model Category.
Updating alm_asset.model_category is blocked by default. To enable the updating of Asset.Model Category in ServiceNow, you must add a write ACL to the alm_asset table.
AssetTrack Model Cleanup includes a role called x_amiam_ami_model.model_category_cleaner. We recommend giving that role access to write to alm_asset.model_category and assigning that role to AssetTrack Model Cleanup users.
